So basically more ways of trying to make people buy things, do things, think things than before? I feel like our whole world more and more circulates around manipulation and the absence of truth and discourse.

Then again, I do think LLMs are an incredible technological achievement. The issue is not so much what they do or that they exist, but how they are utilized. Right now, they are utilized to further the class divide between rich and poor.

Who are we to trust in the future? Not big companies, not the state, not LLMs. Time to organize around groups and collectives that we know we can trust and that we know have our wellbeing in mind.

Crazy, I've never heard of such a plan anywhere.
But given how essential the internet is to everything we do on a daily basis, that makes a lot of sense. However, I would like to see the existing situation that lead to this decision. Were there many people who couldn't do things anymore due to lacking internet access? Was there public pressure to do this or did they just think it a good idea?

My assumption so far was that there are those who use the internet, they're usually fine, and those that don't - they won't benefit much. But no idea about South Korea.
Anyway, cheaper and unlimited access is always a good idea!

I feel like distrust in general is on the rise.
We used to just acknowledge that in some areas we have no idea. Therefore, we'd trust others who do. With the internet in its current state, everybody seems to have an idea all whilst it becomes more and more apparent that big institutions might not only have your wellbeing in mind.
So we become frustrated with the fact that we can't seem to trust one thing, search comfort in communities whilst forgetting that we probably shouldn't trust them blindly as well.
So who do we trust? Might just be easier to follow the ideas of likeminded people or that influencer you find cool than the big pharma systems.
The sadest thing is, those influencers also want to make money off of you. Who cares about humans anymore? I think it's justified that everybody gets confused in this world..
