@paulthenerd any particular reason why not 22.04 LTS?
@mattis there are more office suites available,so maybe the best thing for you would be trying them all. WPS, onlyoffice,Libreoffice. I'm sure you'll find what you need
@killyourfm fleabag is not that old and quite progressive (thinking wise). The other show is a british classic sitcom(from the 80s). One of the best. I'm sure you'll love both.
@killyourfm you should treat yourself to 'Only Fools and Horses'. and 'Fleabag'
@tarek @UPPERKEES yes. All good points.
Mozilla and google are companies with very different business model. All i care about from mozilla is the browser. That is free. They need to make money somehow. Hence...they introduced VPN and other things. Do I want them to be more aggressive,or do I want more services? No. Big fat NO. Are 'donations' and 'payments' the same? People seem to think donations to tech companies should serve higher purpose. In the end they pay for people. If we like it or not
@UPPERKEES @tarek i do understand thst sentiment. But being 'moral' against firefox is more-less a support for chrome. And i really see nothing moral about that/them. (Yes,there are the only real two choices, anything derived from them is just that, a derovative dependent on its parent). Yes,this is a complex issue, and I don't have all the answers. And this is only a browsers issue
@UPPERKEES @tarek i don't feel like i can comment on financial affairs of mozilla. Maybe they did bring more money in, but the user share is not getting better. I just hope they will keep fighting. If google sells more android, firefox user base gets smaller in percentage. Even though the number is the same. I managed to convert everyne in family to firefox
@tarek @UPPERKEES I'm not trying to pick up a fight. I just don't see how Firefox's attempt to stabilize their ship is worse than...well than anything google have done lately.
@tarek @UPPERKEES that is a very contradicting statement. You PAY Google and don't make them millionaire in the process? I see a massive flaw in this view. You pay them, so that makes you the righteous one,and you are allowed to turn the blind eye to the reality of the same company shoving ads down every other person's throat. And don't let me start on surveillance....Essentially with the help of your payments.
@UPPERKEES @tarek that is very complex question/problem. Mozilla is Don Quixote among the arrogant data-harvesting companies. There are things about it i don't like. But their overall crusade against internet surveillance sis priceless. I've been a firefox since the start through all high and lows. I still cannot find better browser. And i tried most of them
