Gary Gensler's stance on crypto makes sense. A lot of these tokens are securities. Bitcoin came from a desire for a currency that exists outside of any central authority. The derivative forks generally exist to serve a similar purpose, whether that's to support a run of the mill ponzi scheme or some legitimate humanist effort. I have trouble believing that the SEC is going to be able to squash these grassroot idea-funding tokens, especially when they don't start out looking like securities.

I suggested that I could export some test data and import it into arangodb to look into some runtime differences between servers to an SRE I'm working with. Now I have to figure out how how to dump a .trx (xml) file into a nosql db 😩
