A pretty good job report:
253,000 jobs added(defying all expectations), & the unemployment rate is at 3.4%, nearing historic lows, but some folks (you know who) just cannot stop themselves from talking about inflation & recession
Just imagine if it was George Soros instead of Harlan Crow and Kagan or Sotomayor instead of Clarence Thomas?

Weird how the presidential commission on the Supreme Court turned up none of this highly germane and intriguing information. Maybe they should have had historians on it.

Ivanka & Jared made $640 million while working at the White House. Almost 3/4rd of billion dollars & it is NOT on the news daily.

If I run CNN or MSNBC, i’d put half of the reporters in the newsroom on this story. These 2 guys make Sani Abacha & Francisco look like amateurs, & yet no investigation that I’m aware of has been opened.

@JustinWolfers: Non-farm payrolls added a cracking 517,000 jobs in January, well above market expectations of +190k. This is a breathtaking number. That spike in stories about layoffs? It was about a small unreprese...…

A ridiculous Chinese spy balloon—that we literally can shoot down by throwing rocks at it—is getting *more* press & media coverage that the unprecedented economic recovery that we are witnessing.

If this is not an indictment of our press & media, I don’t know what is.

Yes, of course, everything is political economy, there's still more work to do on inflation, and there are tradeoffs in everything. But after two years of a drumbeat hyperventilating narrative about stagflation, overheating, recession, gas prices, how Joe Biden screwed up fiscal policy, & all the Suffering From Inflation™️ (https://mastodon.social/@mcopelov/109755930239086331), maybe the paper of record could simply stop, take a breath, & report the incredibly positive economic news without centering the negatives? 🤔 🤷‍♂️

What you were told, nonstop, by the national media, about the economy vs what was actually happening were completely at odds with each other. We completely and totally lost the plot. Which was actually evident a full year ago (https://www.intereconomics.eu/contents/year/2022/number/1/article/an-unprecedented-recovery-why-have-we-lost-the-plot.html), but we kept losing it, anyway.

That Hannity didn't believe Sidney Powell's nonsense isn't surprising; it was baseless garbage from the jump.

But that he hosted her anyway, even after Fox itself had kneecapped her, is a reflection of how toxic the network really can be. https://www.washingtonpost.com/politics/2022/12/22/fox-news-hannity-trump-2020-election/

Why Sean Hannity’s dishonesty matters

The Fox News host reportedly admitted he elevated false claims he didn't believe after the 2020 election. His was the most-watched show on cable news that year.
