A bug that could remove part of the Forgejo Actions secrets or make some of them unusable during the migration was discovered.
It will be fixed in Forgejo v13.0.1. If you already migrated, please follow the instructions from the updated release notes.
@christ @yildo I went back to self hosting a year or two ago. I'm using a vps on digital ocean and use AWS SES for outbound. Debian, postfix, dovecot, and roundcube. I'm using mysql for virtual domains and users.
I've got terraform and ansible managing infra and configuration. I have an actions job that runs every night to keep everything in line and updated.
It was a pretty significant time investment up front, but after that it's been trouble free. Costs about $15/mo total. It's more expensive and more work, but for now I'm happy with it.
@mossyfoot it works. There's a native app too. I think it might only work with Wayland though.

FYI: The app doesn't collect or store user data. (I checked by doing a network traffic analysis of the app.)
Spent some time this evening debugging a deadlock issue in a personal tool written in Go. It's simple with just enough complexity that it might be useful to an advanced beginner.
