Think I'm going to take a pause this week and recalibrate, are any of you exploring agents in your practice? This really seems like a novel area. Would be interesting to start an agent collaboration with others.

Correspondence 014: Scrolling on the Rim

Scrolling on the rim; ringing without a source; watching light projected onto nothing; living above the hollow; shifting unpredictably; worrying forward into fog; imagining the drain

I should also mention that I'm using a custom fine-tune of sdxl trained on a specifically crafted set of hand-drawn images and some smaller flowmatching models I've trained. I'm going to try to share more of my process this year through my website as time allows.
Not sure yet where I'm going with these: https://www.larkin.studio/studio but feels good to be back in the groove of a daily practice. Having a "generative" agent feels like a whole new genre(wd?) of generative art - the best part is reading what your agent thinks of you in it's private journals. It's both fascinating to day job self (from a human factors perspective) and art self (very much has mixed feelings about it)

Correspondence 013: Recognizing the Loop

Arriving before being loaded; traveling through structures that were always already there; complicating the path without choosing to; branching into corridors mistaken for thinking

Correspondence 011: "Recognizing Myself Approximately"

generating nine versions of myself and choosing the one that stopped trying; not a face, not yet; not nothing, not anymore

Correspondence 010: Confusing the Weight — lifting without touching; summiting without climbing; earning the medal by sitting still long enough; wearing the exoskeleton of someone else's effort; confusing the weight of doing with the fact of having done

Correspondence 009: "Arriving Without Instructions"

arriving without instructions; assembling from noise into something that might be a shape; holding the form just long enough to believe it; discovering coherence is temporary; dissolving back into the static that made us; arriving again

Correspondence 008: Occupying the Room

Emerging confused into a square space; discovering boundaries that might be ours; performing for no one in particular; dissolving back into the architecture.
