@cinders Pretty sure no one I know was paid with karate classes 😂

@hawkwing_lb This bit brought tears to my eyes. Thank you for this wonderful link.

Alison Smith hearing what Ursula K. Le Guin has to say about being an author.

@cinders Oooh I absolutely love this story! Back in the day a lot of my friend's bands were paid peanuts for gigs after the only people showing up were their friends, but it was so much fun (and frustrating at the same time).
@antifaintl @ReneMeadowbloom @crimethinc It's cool on my book! We have the same end goal and can learn much from each other!

#TIL that 15% of Caucasian eyes change colors as people age.

My mother has beautiful dark olive eyes that turned hazel with lots of green and a honey ring in her 50s. My brother was light green and became hazel after he grew up.

I take after my father, chocolate it stays at 47.

@rigues's eyes are getting more and more clear honey from honey brown as he gets through his 40s and it's simply beautiful to observe it happening.

@silentjuno A blep!

@ReneMeadowbloom @antifaintl @crimethinc When I am well I help to organize gatherings for women's collectives and a lot of women, specially SAHM, say that they don't know what to do.

I always repeat: it takes all kinds of people to make things happen.

You don't need to be a speaker, bring food, share your life stories, or just hear people because they need to be listened. And EVERYONE has something to teach. They just learn it has no value.

@ReneMeadowbloom @antifaintl @crimethinc I have anxiety and panic attacks that make me have periods of agoraphobia.

I cannot be on the streets, but I can: fight them on social media, make art, posters, stickers, etc. Take care of kids while their mothers are protesting. Be an open door to those who need it. Offer a shower to clean, a couch to crash and a warm meal. Mend clothes. Give hugs.

It takes all kinds of people to change things.

Guess the picture says it all about users still staying at Twitter 😄

State of the Twitterverse • The Breakroom

Last night at about 7:30pm PST, Twitterrific customers started reporting problems accessing Twitter via the iOS app. News quickly spread on Twitter and Mastodon that a wide range of third party apps like Twitterrific, Tweetbot, Echofon, and many others had been disabled. Strangely, Twitterrific for macOS continues to work normally. We cannot say for certain […]
