Gemma 4 is very impressive. I tested it on my home computer that has no GPU, only an i5 CPU, and 64 GB of RAM.

Running was simple:
ollama run --model gemma4 --think=false

It's not instant, but it's very fast, and it gives solid answers. I tried running LLMs on my CPU in 2024 and had slow, unusable garbage. Hopeful that local is the future.

For a post like that to have value, the author would need to give an example or provide some kind of supporting evidence. The only goal behind posting something like that is to use toxicity as a tool for interaction. We used to call them trolls, but these days trolls have high follower counts on social media, so they're simply playing the game.

Why don't I use Bluesky? Because it's loaded with the same kind of low-effort, self-promotional stuff that caused me to leave Twitter. For instance, this. Now, maybe there's something there, but it's just an old man shouting at the clouds in this form.
