Barbie was ridiculously great. It dealt with every social issue around the doll that I can remember, even as a child playing with Barbies. (If you've read my essays, you know what I did with them after seeing Star Wars.) Also, I absolutely LOVED Kate McKinnon. I'm not going to say anything else. The movie is kid-friendly, but honestly most of it will go over their heads.

I'm sad that the Nick Fury series lost me. I wish Marvel would stop taking for granted that fans know every detail of everything and instead go back to good storytelling, getting the audience invested before throwing a bunch of action sequences at us.
