Some Mastodon tips I've learned:
- You need a fit, young hunting party
- They are not easy to bring down, so make sure your spears have extremely sharp tips
- Ensure you have a supply line and pack animals available to transport the meat and pelt back to the cave
Going from a large Twitter following to a tiny one on Mastodon, but at least your favorite accounts migrated with you.
Picking the mastodon.social server to start sorta feels like I moved into an extended stay motel while I shop around for homes.
It’s actually easier to post in a place where less people see it. I quit Tumblr when I got to 3000 followers. I’m only half that on Twitter but still don’t post as often as I used to because every time I post an opinion, it reaches a lot of people and inevitably someone tries to argue with me, or people quote-tweet it and talk about me as if I’m not a person with feelings. It’s reaching where I can’t even post a personal insight on a show I love because I don’t feel like always defending myself.
Took melatonin, had a nightmare, and now I’m in that weird state where I’m only 70% awake and the other 30% is still off who knows where in the cosmos. Apologies now my comments are strange, I think that 30% is also the reasonable bit.
Are there other apps to access 🐘 in? I don’t know why but the look and format of this app really throws me. Like things aren’t spaced far enough apart?
Discord is too much pressure because you’re always in a conversation. Sometimes you just want to scream into the void, you know?
I could have never made a joke this convoluted on Twitter.
First one on this Instance to write a post specifically about
#JemaineClement and also the first one to spread unsubstantiated rumors about Jemaine Clement who, incidentally, never refutes them because he’s busy painting the “r”s out of novelty license plate keychains for people named “Jermaine.”
