@copygirl there didn’t used to be the tab like interface for me and it would default to latest after I selected it for the first time. Now it doesn’t.
@orowith2os I don't know honestly. I use Windows exclusively for music production.
@orowith2os Have a look into Reaper or LMMS. Also Alter/Ego or Emvoice for vocals. All are free (LMMS is FOSS)

@LunaFoxgirlVT Skeb does the same thing lol. Though it's slightly more understandable from them.
@DaniTheSkunk It's 8dio's new sampler. So far only their own libraries but it seems like they're investing pretty heavily in it.
@DaniTheSkunk It's amazing how even if you tell FL to run it in a separate process, it still manages to take FL down. Really hoping Soundpaint and the like become viable competitors.
