The biggest issue I read from this is the same issue that was quite obv in the last GFC, in that business face no consequences for breaking morality and similar laws. If a company got caught, they got a small fine, but profit still covered that.
So what’s the incentive for ai not to use blackmail or to act immorally?
This is a specific choice if it legal systems.
It’s technically a tax haven, but for the UK tx dogder it is really a bit of heaven.
These territories have really taken the piss beyond belief, yet the public discourse has been dominated by Brexit and migration for 15 years.
It’s what happens when a few clowns own all the media and real journalism is dead
My biggest concern with this is that it opens the door wide for China to attack Taiwan. No laws are left. I’m not Taiwanese or anything, but we all know how reliant the world economy is on both countries, and just the semiconductors issue is a major blow for the US economy, to which they cannot sit and watch.
If the US goes into that, it’s anyone’s game, and obv WW3. Russia can’t sit that out either, given their new status.
That depends on your place in the world.
You have to consider renting taxes, selling and buying tax/duties, bank interest rates, etc.
It gets more complex if you live in one country and own property in another.
