The iPad, so much potential if it could do what a Mac could do, a phenomenal form factor, just wasted.
@thurrott there definitely was a 30-pin to lightning adapter! Two in fact, and both were Apple 1st party: one that would work with those clock radios somewhat precariously and one that my wife uses to this day to connect her phone to her car's stereo!
Bonus: the corded version wears out just like other official Lightning cables so you don't even miss that experience!
