finally put the recapped chassis back in the megatouch and it still does the same shit it was doing before recap. idk
after replacing all the caps, still no sign of life aside from a high pitch whine which tells me it's some other issue.
better off just getting it looked at by a professional. im glad i figured out how to replace caps in the process though because that actually opens up more personal projects for me in the future
shit ton of LTO tapes at the thrift store the other day. there were so many that i was seeing them in various spots around the entire shop.. seems that some company donated their entire stock INCLUDING backups lol
the lock bracket things are actually installed upside down in the after pic, which has been fixed. also have a newer pic after getting the instruction card printed. really glad I haven't had to replace any parts of the shell so far
mostly copying from bsky, but I never posted the progress update here yet.. control panel BEFORE and AFTER for my astro city cab. didn't get a clear pic of the underside before (it was really bad), but I think these still get the point across in just how much work has been done
