We mogen de Louis Paul Boon Prijs in ontvangst nemen. De jury loofde Kunsthal Gent als "een heel actie­ve orga­ni­sa­tie die de bele­ving van kun­sten in de stads­con­text van van­daag als filo­so­fie han­teert."

De Hen­ry van de Vel­de Awards zijn de meest pres­ti­gi­eu­ze desig­n a­wards in Bel­gië. Kunst­hal Gent is één van de win­naars in de cate­go­rie ​‘Grap­hic Design’.

We are happy to present: the Kunsthal Gent history brochure!

To illuminate the rich history of our building, we have compiled a concise overview in a folder. The history traces back to the 13th century. The brochure guides you through the centuries, culminating in January 2019, when Kunsthal Gent opened the building’s doors as a space for the presentation and development of contemporary visual art.

The history brochure is available free of charge at our entrance desk during weekends.

We're happy to announce the long awaited 8th edition of the Ghent Art Book Fair by 019!

During the weekend of 3 — 4 May, we welcome over 60 national and international publishers to showcase their work in Kunsthal Gent. But before the fair starts, an open call is launched.

Dit voorjaar gaat een nieuwe reeks Vrijdagavonden van start! Negen weken lang presenteren we een pro­gram­ma rond één of meer­de­re kun­ste­naars, auteurs, een col­lec­tief of orga­ni­sa­tie.

Verwacht science fiction, artist talks, performances, boekpresentaties en lezingen. Iedere vrijdagavond om 20:00 in Kunsthal Gent, vanaf 28 februari 2025.

Een beetje Gentse geschiedenis, iemand?

Vrijdag 7/2 openen we 3 tentoonstellingen, waaronder 'Vermin' van Isabelle Andriessen.

Ze onderzoekt de wor­tels van heden­daag­se oor­log door een paral­lel te trek­ken met de geweld­da­di­ge rites rond de Beel­den­storm van 1566, een peri­o­de van armoe­de, reli­gi­eu­ze con­flic­ten en opstan­den.

De ten­toon­stel­ling vindt plaats in ons Oud Huis, dat ooit dienst deed als toe­vluchts­oord en doel­wit is geweest van de Beeldenstorm.
