Needed to get out and about a bit this afternoon and a short drive in the Peak District near Sheffield was just thing.
I am getting in early with my photo of the moon since I won’t be getting up early. Full moon against a clear sky low on the horizon

[email protected]Walking back from the shops and I heard a honking coming from above. I looked up and saw this.

https://mastodon.social/media/X3vRGZ1_1BJRcu6uQ9cI also did some litter picking whilst walking. Just before exiting the woods I looked back, I had climbed the steepest out of the small valley and this is the first picture. The second picture is looking towards Derbyshire from south east Sheffield, green fields in the foreground, low hills and woodland in the distance.
The weather has been grey and grim for days meaning I’ve not walked in the woods. Today the greyness didn’t change but I walked anyway. Here are some of my photos. 1. Tree trunks made dark from being wet, against a carpet of leaves on the ground. 2. A small stream in the foreground with a carpet of leaves and deciduous trees in the background mostly bare of leaves. 3. Thick moss on a branch glowing green. The details are sharp. 4. A leaf covered path drawing your eye through the trees.
#NatureThe sky just got even more spectacular in Sheffield.
