Know how I know I am making an impression on Linkedin?

Very few comments.

Very few re-posts

Lots of lookee loo's

But, no meaningful employment opportunities.

The workspace today. FINALLY not humid and hot out like Val Verde. And no predators.
The second of the group of watches gifted recently. I like this one because it is an automatic. So, just wearing it winds it. I have a winder though for all my automatic watches.
Bondi reportedly put 1,000 people in 24-hour shifts for two weeks in March to review the Epstein files. She made them flag mentions of Trump. And then ... She decided she couldn't release anything. 😯

Hyperbole and a Half

@jurjen_heeck "AI that does what?"

"That lets us fire people & get the wage bill down so we keep more profit"

@jurjen_heeck Ten years ago everyone wanted “apps”. Not much changes.

@Herman

Oh yes, and my students learned how to code, when they started they had no idea.

"Who needs HTML anymore?" one said, refusing to do homework. The others secretly laughed and shared glances.

Little did he know.
Actually very little 😀

@jurjen_heeck

today I got a demo about the AI usage in a real application, related to finance

basically, it's about letting some retarded and paranoid CEOs believe that not only they don't need developers anymore, to implement precise and detailed financial reports...

they don't even need to learn how to use these reporting tools, as the AI would let them use "natural language" to generate such reports...

well, "natural language" is known to be "evil", when precision and exactness is required, check Chomsky language hierarchy about that

but now, thanks to the "good enough" "guessing ability" of AIs, that's not a problem anymore: good luck...

its' a BBB tech from a BBB country, and not much more...

so "Caveat emptor" i.e. "let the buyer beware": use that shit at your own risk
