My dayjob is to bother, to pester and to annoy. Every single day I work hard to bring these qualities of mine to perfection.
@mruef you might also have an unexpected holiday with unknown duration wearing one of those according to this: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Casio_F-91W

There's only one way to fix this, and it's getting drunk at lunch.
@ant0inet yeah, all that bad code will magically disappear when everybody moves everything to rust!1!
@ant0inet and get into contact with them now. Not when your systems are on fire. Select the right partner while you have time to assess and select. Talk with them, get a feeling for how they operate and if you are compatible.
@cynicalsecurity reminds me of finding a project to play around with #manticoresearch
@osxreverser the more I think about it the more the whole IT industry seems like an Italian ministry: gazillions of people doing mostly nothing but very vocal and popular and a few suckers who, driven by a sense of duty, keep the place running.
Had similar observations when having pics painted, where I asked for a head in cyberpunk style and always got a head with headphones on 🤷‍♀️
So I did some tests with code generated by some #ai. Target was c++. Result contained not-to-be-used-anymore includes, some that were not needed, some that were wrong. Code compiled, but had some very strange selections of params for one constructor. Looks like #cargocult instead of a professional coder. That AI must know that there are relationships between things, but does not get the context.
