Critics of scientific management often argue that F.W. Taylor and his colleagues ignored the human element at work.

But that's not quite right--Taylor's prescriptions were based on a clear view of human nature. Unfortunately, it was an overly narrow and pessimistic one.

Shareholder capitalism is one reason for the crisis of capitalism, yes. It is not the root cause. The root cause: because they can. The lead question would be: how to build a power base for humanistic living and working together.

Another pearl of AI management wisdom

Crisis is the sea in which the arts live. — Scott Handy, actor, who presented his father’s message to the @GDruckerForum. He started with two actors playing a scene from "Waiting for Godot“ and managed to bridge business, arts and insights into life in general.
The best session at the @GDruckerForum was a tribute for and with (remote) Charles Handy, @charleshandy25. He did honor his claim as a social philosopher, with profound, moving advice, but never corny. He was born in 1932 and had a stroke, still has much to say. #druckerforum
Finally found the time to reflect on my impressions from @GDruckerForum. First the location: Wiener Hofburg. The smell of history from every corner (@sisi_museum nearby).
We still live in a caste system: the thinkers at the bottom, and blue collar workers are selfom trained in business innovation. This makes the talk about future work a nonsense conversation. @[email protected] @[email protected]
