Before the violent attacks on Brazil's Congress, Elon Musk fired nearly all of Twitter's staff in Brazil, including all the workers in São Paulo who enforced rules around incitement to violence and misinformation. There are no teams actively moderating rule-breaking Twitter content in the entire country

Come to the ‘war cry party’: How social media helped drive mayhem in Brazil

Just like with Donald Trump's defeat in 2020, supporters of Jair Bolsanaro used social media, particularly Facebook, Twitter and Instagram, to fuel the anger that exploded on Sunday in Brasília.

#ChatBotGPT is not going to replace say the real search engine like Google. This whole thing is over hyped just like #NFT #Crypto etc. They are fun for a brief period then their usage starts dropping.
@rbreich if this happens then it basically says Former presidents are above the law and in future they might include the Supreme court judges and even the top 1 percent. Trump is guilty from get go. He should be punished for his crime. If he's not then it's going to become even more banana republic then what's already we see. And there'll be no accountability when he decides to run again for 2024. If he wins he might change the clause of 2 term president
You’ll be unsurprised to learn that the incident with the supposed Musk stalker appears to have nothing to do with the jet tracking account. It occurred 26 miles from the airport, and a full day after ElonJet placed the plane in Los Angeles. https://www.washingtonpost.com/technology/2022/12/18/details-of-musk-stalking-incident/
Musk blamed a Twitter account for an alleged stalker. Police see no link.

The incident last week underscored how Elon Musk’s personal concerns can influence his governance of a social media platform used by hundreds of millions of people.

@acosta 😂😂
@oliverdarcy they tend to forget that running a company that makes real product and spend time and money in R&D is completely different than running a social media platform. It's not something user own it as a physical byproduct. Those people should have also known the history of Elon Musk who was ruthless and not a great role model for the people who worked under him. There are still some tech YouTuber who still gives this guy benefit of the doubt. His actions have also affected Tesla sales.
About that alleged stalker incident in L.A. that Musk blamed on the ElonJet account: It took place a day after Musk's jet landed and 26 miles away https://www.washingtonpost.com/technology/2022/12/18/details-of-musk-stalking-incident/

WOW. Elon Musk's Twitter straight-up banned the account for Mastodon. Just, wow.

Remember: Twitter is Elon's company, he has the free speech and free association right to run it pretty much however he wants and to ban people for petty narcissistic reasons.

And we have the right to laugh and point at his ridiculousness and at the free-speech pretenses of his gullible fans.
