If fully-encrypted private messages would provide a threat to children, because it would enable people to interact with them on your platform without surveillance, then children should not be allowed on your platform and/or have access to private messaging features.

This isn't an argument against encryption, it's an argument against unsupervised children on your service.

If you don't want that because it would hurt profits... well. That's something else entirely.

I continue to be impressed with how robust this Thinkpad (P14s Gen5, 21G2000SGE) really is. Rain, grit, field work: no problem. Keyboard no issues, touchpad and screen no issues. The case is beat up but it seems at least some models are still extremely tough.

You ever ask yourself "why didn't people just flee Nazi Germany when it became clear the bodies were going to start reaching the sky" - you're basically living the answer.

I've spent my life studying the process by which this happens and if I'm being honest with you - it's too late. This is gonna play out now; and yeah the fascists literally can't win because "freezing time forever" isn't possible but the stench of the dead will strangle everything you hold dear.

So...

Claude Code really needs a "yes, and" option. It feels wrong that the only way to improve a suggestion is to completely reject it.
