@igb maybe the 16 is better but I think they should adjust the software to take better moon pics. Should be easily recognisable and easy enough to adjust the exposure for part of the photo?
@simon do you think it picked up on the “ai assistant” direction or the title and copy?
@benward got a signed welcome letter from him
@yatil @jensimmons I always assumed it was the a11y tooling that made things difficult and so led to the advice against. Perhaps I am wrong on that. While I’m sure there are many places it can be a bad experience I think there are also many common experiences where it is not, so the guidance should allow for that context. Anyway, it is not really CSS-related - i apologise for the diversion.
@yatil @jensimmons yes! I would like a11y tools to be able to handle it, because we do it all the time anyway. Can’t speak for threads, but I know web tweets are clickable elements with buttons in. It’s a very common need.
@jensimmons I know it’s not really css, but I’d love to nest a button in a button without being shouted at by linters.
@jensimmons multi-line ellipsis is still a workaround with odd side-effects. Letter-spacing extends beyond the end of a word, causing early wrapping. Generally, more knowledge and control of lines and wrapping would be helpful.
@igb we have new scanners in Walnut Creek, but they’re a good half-second slower than the old ones, so prepare to grit your teeth harder as they roll out.
@kaoudis
I’m a fan of the Waymos, but don’t really trust the others. I trust humans least of all.
To be fair, in SF some of the cars don’t have any people in them at all.
