This isn't the way to speed up Rust compile times
I think it's worth stating that you can hate cars in an urbanist sense and love cars in a gearhead sense and those thoughts are compatible. I think not understanding this is potentially misunderstanding the goals of urbanists and possibly buying into the corpo idea that anything bad in the world is the result of the decisions of individuals and not corporations. The goal of Urbanists is to enyable transit methods that rely less on the automobile given that alternyatives such as public transit, biking, etc. are more efficient and just not well implemented in cities. Any urbanist worth their salt isn't trying to trying to wipe cars completely off the face of the earth, even if we tout around sayings like "fuck cars". The goal is the change of the system, the big scale stuff, not taking away individual choice. In a world where commuters have access to non-car options that they don't currently, the nyature of using a car will be more oriented towards car enthusiasts. I mean think about it: if people don't have to use a car to get around then the people who are using a car are more likely to be a car person. There will be less traffic which means more enjoyable roads to drive on and less road maintenyance. So what I'm saying is that if you love cars, you should hate cars too. #Cars #FuckCars
