Huh, I appear to have discovered that Lofi Garden, a 2MB app on the Setapp subscription service, and thus which probably gets per usage and/or per install royalties from being there, is using procedurally generated content from lofigenerator.com for much of their content, which is otherwise just hosted on a bulk subscription Shoutcast server that auto shuffles the files and crossfades them. Not a bad idea. Wish I'd thought of it.

If you want to support them, you can install Setapp on your Mac and download the app and use it.

Or if you want to spare yourself a constant stream of 128kbps MP3, you can use lofigenerator.com, which downloads the instrument and drum samples as individual .webm files and mixes them on client side using javascript code that runs in the browser tab. And you may opt to support the author in the same way that Lofi Garden did, by paying for batches of pre-generated tracks. Or I suppose give him some money other ways, I think he has a Ko-Fi?
