Today's Mars in grayscale, rather heavily stretched for some contrast. Just 8" (arcsec) in diameter, makes a formidable target for a 7" (inch, diameter) telescope... (Mastodon web client stretches the image, click to view the original size...)

Finally the stars aligned yesterday, I dusted off my telescope and got to take some pictures of the Moon as dew started to gather on the front lens. Looking at timestamps, it's been roughly a year since the last time I could spend a night out like this...
