a thing that strikes me about Mastodon whenever I come back is it's full of regular people just doing their thing, that's the general vibe

which is great for regular people, but not for Posters because we thrive on combat- with brands, with the mods, with each other, with randos who are goaded into epochal meltdowns that live on in the collective memory of the site

I mean I kinda like it here, but when friends say they'll never go to mastodon I understand why
