maybe? where is that sticker? I mean sure it has the same letters but that sticker isn’t there, and the order of the letter still doesn’t make sense.
Lol pretty sure I know exactly what series you’re talking about (beer can?). You’re right - it’s dumb, and the writing isn’t exactly Dickens, but it’s funny. Almost finished with the series myself. Something to read until something better comes along, at least.
I agree, but um…you really should look up the definition of the word “falsies”

You’ve completely missed the point. Nobody is saying that AI is fine and trustworthy.

How do you propose to punish software? How are you going to compel compensation, retribution, or justice from a computer program? It’s not possible. Nor should one even try - because it wasn’t AI that arrested her, it wasn’t AI that left her in jail for months, it wasn’t AI that tucked her over. It was cops that trusted shitty AI.

AI sucks - nobody in this thread is arguing against that. There’s lots of shitty software, though. The problem with AI is that is that those in power are trusting people’s lives with it and people are getting fucked because of it. If you’re focusing on the software, you’re excusing the cops.

“But he’s got … ham.”

Whataboutisms are not a valid defense against the original accusation or claim. Of course one can append a counter-accusation of hypocrisy, but that says nothing about whether the primary subject was justified or not.

Accusations of hypocrisy should be a separate subject. Initiating that claim is not a whataboutism.

All claims appear in this artcle.

partially prefilled absentee ballot applications

Not ballots, or fake ballots, or even sample ballots. Applications for absentee ballots. They only got a letter of reprimand because seriously, who gives a shit that that they were sending out applications (again: not ballots!)

Because there isn’t one. The PAC wasn’t sending out ballots, real or fake - it was sending absentee ballot applications that were partially refilled with the applicants’ information. Presumably their name and address at least, since how else could they mail it.

No wonder they only got a letter of reprimand. This is truly making a mountain out of a molehill.

Fuck them and fuck Musk, but the outrage for this is ridiculous.
