Mostly Apple & some sports, but politics will also make an appearance.

@atpfm Re: AirPods Max.

Do you think the AirPods Max are really that popular, given the price point?

I think the NYC region skews those numbers, partly because of the $$ in the region, but partly also due to the fact that they're prevalent all over Canal Street for $50.

I think a lot of the AirPods Max that we see on the streets, especially in Manhattan, are knockoffs, but very good looking knockoffs.

Spent the afternoon in Leiden just amazed at how much of a mini Amsterdam it is.

Had my first experience with an attempted iPhone theft by bike.

A roving gang of 13 year boys attempted a snatch and grab. Definitely not a fan of that.

Last week I went to the Anne Frank House again.

It felt different this time.

It made something very clear: moments like this show you who would have hidden Anne Frank — and who would have told someone where she was hiding.

Most people don’t think of themselves as cruel.
They think of themselves as “not political.”
As neutral. As staying out of it.

That’s what silence has always looked like.

And right now, silence says a lot.

I’m a sucker for well crafted Instagram ads for “cool” products and I buy way too many of them.

However, I absolutely despise how long these products take to ship on what seems like the slowest possible route.

I haven’t thought much about Twitter since I stopped posting there, but this is absolutely horrific that Elon is allowing disgusting humans to create non consensual pornography and sexual images of children.

What in the actual fuck is wrong with people?

Grok is undressing children — can the law stop it?

Sexualized AI images violate consent and boundaries, but legal consequences can be elusive.

One of my favorite daily reads is @cupofcoffeenews

It’s technically a baseball newsletter, but i find the other topics that Craig talks about much more interesting.

Oddly enough, I also hit a wall yesterday with the news of the US falling even further into despair.

Cup of Coffee: January 13, 2026

A couple of small baseball items, shit in the shower drain, and how nothing, and everything, shocks me these days

What is the limit on the number of times I can use this clip this year?

The limit does not exist.

It’s been snowing in Amsterdam for the last 4 days, but there’s been hardly any accumulation.

The problem is that there is zero snow removal here and now the entire city is basically covered in ice.

It’s like a giant skating rink.

I enjoyed the conversation on @upgrade this week about Tapestry from @iconfactory. It’s one of my favorite apps.

I’m hoping for them to bring posting into the app so it can be like a modern Twitterrific, which was my favorite Twitter app.

Absolutely wild how eco conscious the entire country of the Netherlands is, yet there have been endless streams of fireworks for hours all over the streets of Amsterdam.
