We visited the sea filled bathing pools at La Valette in Guernsey today. They were in disrepair without any facilities nearby for most of the 30 years I grew up in Guernsey...
Today, they are a spectacular place to visit any time of year (several people winter sea swimming today), with a cafe featuring log burning stove, views to die for and changing rooms built in. Walking distance from St Peter Port (the main town) too.
