Twitter posts are public by default. Any content published out on the internet is public, as that's implicit (else do not post information in the first place, or use tools to restrict). Therefore, I don't see an issue with proxies like bird.makeup or nitter -- in fact, it is an overall good thing because one doesn't have to use a platform directly that is led by a megalomaniac CEO.
