Today the main Dutch academic institutions (KNAW, NWO, UvN, and MinOCW) are launching the platform wetenschapveilig.nl to support scholars that are being threatened, intimidated and harassed. The platform offers immediate assistance in case of an emergency, and support with taking necessary measures, such as filling police reports. As someone who has been on the receiving end of threats I am very grateful for the initiative and the recognition this is a professional hazard these days
