Every so often I see a reel/TikTok whose soundtrack is a mashup of 6 other songs, there’s a three way screen-split with reactions, and the caption is like “WATCH TILL END!!” — it’s like a drug that needs to get more and more potent to have the same impact. This would seriously mess up your brain if you’re exposed to it from a young age.

I haven’t been browsing Twitter at all lately. People’s replies to my posts make me feel terrible. I realised how much I allowed my self worth to be determined by approval on social media. I’m having more meaningful interactions with my friends since I stopped using it, and I have more social energy. I’ll use it to post updates on work stuff but that’s it from now on.

Wild how immediately and significantly my mood improves when the temperature increases and the sun comes out for a bit.
