@dangillmor wait, I just read the article, it's all "could be used" . It's good to raise the concerns, but this is a thought experiment, not a real case of data being used by right wing activist.
@dangillmor I hope this isn't real! License plate readers are a good thing, catching tons of uninsured cars, people without driving License etc that the police miss due to volume of cars.
In this case it's the policies in place not the tech. I'm struggle to believe this story is real. If it is, whats is happening to the US, its becoming so authoritarian!

@CatMan I grew up in a Jewish family who loved Xmas just because it was fun. Now I have my own atheist family, we still have Xmas, but our Xmas tree has things like a weeping angel from Dr who on top. Celebrate whenever you want, how ever you want. Free country until Putin takes over.
