I explore how the #cholera outbreak of 1883 marks the point where medicine in #Egypt fell (or was pushed) in line with the colonial medicine paradigm, as well as how the nascent British colonial administration in Egypt used the outbreak as a justification to stay in Egypt indefinitely.
