@BobApril With 2 impeachments and 4 indictments and every threat made against the rule of law while in and out of office, why would a conviction matter? The trust is broken and Secretary’s of State have to draw the line and it is within their authority to make sure democracy is protected from attacks on the right to vote. It is not a publicity stunt. No one should defend the actions of a former president to overturn an election. No one.

@anneapplebaum What is next to remove him from the ballot? Why hasn’t an expedited hearing before the Supreme Court or any court been submitted? The Republicans need to be on the record for or against insurrection/Trump. If GOP is for insurrection/Trump is that giving comfort and disqualifying from serving?

@juddlegum the corporate media will not defend democracy. Polls aren’t news and opinions are not news. While democracy gets kicked to the curb many reporters don’t know how to ask questions that get politicians on the record.
