Regional Meet-up Grant Application

Ruby Central Inc. is dedicated to fostering a vibrant and collaborative Ruby programming community. To support this mission, Ruby Central Inc. offers grants to small events that aim to facilitate networking among Ruby software developers in a fun and more accessible setting. Our newest sponsor, Github, is happy to contribute to this effort to directly be able to connect with the developers that utilize their systems. Organizers are to use the grant funds over multiple meetup events, along with recognition and brand awareness of the sponsor, to help amplify your meetup events (e.g. food and drinks, decor, parking vouchers, venue rentals, etc)**. **The ONLY caveat to this is there can be no alcohol included in the usage of these funds. Who can apply? Any Ruby meetup local groups! Up to 40 grant applications can receive funding for this period. How much? up to $300 USD When will it happen? Now open until first 40 applicants have been received. Application Process: Review/approve applications August 2025; Begin awarding grants mid-August 2025. We understand that our Ruby Community is filled with amazing people who want to support the growth and sustainability of our beloved Ruby language. We ask that all organizers that apply agree with our own Mission and Values and also stay within our Code of Conduct.
