One of the perks of living in this climate. Harvesting stuff like this in January.
We have another bunch of bananas ready to harvest! Wasn't sure how they would do since this one fruited in the fall. We've had a pretty warm winter so far and they developed and ripened just fine.
Some photos I took around the backyard food forest today with my new CampSnap Pro camera. I think they look pretty good considering the price point and aim of this camera.
Got this weather station setup today so I can start tracking the current weather and logging the data from my own back yard.
The kids are getting Switch Lites from their grandparents and I got them these nintendo cross body bags for them. Now I kind of want one for myself because I think it would be the perfect size to carry a game system or two and my folding keyboard and a few other bits while still being quite small for carrying everyday.
Look at how stupid these look on a normal size turntable. Also, LOFL at their eco-friendly claim. Less material than 12" records...except that you have to buy 6 or more of them to get the same number of songs as one 12" record. My biggest issue with them are that they cost damn near as much as 12" record but you only get 2 songs.
Time to fire this little thing up.
Yo, this comes pretty dang close to my ideal ultra-portable computer form factor.
A couple jars of my own homegrown tealikes. On the left is yaupon harvested from my own front yard. Yaupon is a holly bush native to the southern US and is the only north american plant to contain caffeine. On the right is roselle, also harvested from my own front yard. It is the flower calyxes that you harvest and use for a tealike beverage that is bright red.
