My friend gave me his old 3D printer. First this crappy machine forces you to use their proprietary slicer. (Windows Only) so I rebooted into windows for the first time in months. Well after 4 days of windows updates I installed this crap software. This damn software installed Candy Crush, Opera, and a dozen other crap including agproxy data collection malware. Now I cannot get this crap off it keeps coming back. I hate Windows and the crappy proprietary software vendors

Everything just works I don't need to maintain anything just do package updates occasionally, I want something to break so I can get into the system logs and config files to fix it. Just so I have something to do I have a spare laptop which I use to distro hop
I installed i3wm on Sunday on my laptop. I have changed some of the config but not sure what else I can do to make it better the bar info could be better but I don't know how to do that any suggestions?
I installed and setup i3 in one of my laptop's yesterday not sure if I like it yet but once I figured out the key bindings and changed the config file to suit my needs I saw how it could be useful and powerful. The problem i may have is if I try to use Bluetooth will there be a good application or will I have to do it all on the command line?
I have gentoo base system and x11 installed with lightdm starting at boot but i only have XSesson as a desktop and cannot install a desktop environment because a package called webkit-gtk fails to build and it is a dependency for the desktop i want to run. i will have a look later and see if i can get it working.
