@kix3n the GDPR went into effect in the EU in May of 2018 and a ton of services updated theirs to comply since it's requirements were more strict than anything previously—though the fact that's 7 years since then already feels silly, not sure if you meant that long ago or not.
it is important to go insane for the natural world, to feel a terrifying rush of love and tenderness towards the world below and above and around you, and to experience yourself as part of it, instead of something held back from it. it is important to carry mountains, sunlight, trees, and autumn with you, to use it in the narrow hallways of hospitals or the darkness of your bedroom at three o'clock in the morning. even if you can't recall it, somewhere under your ribcage last year's seeds are trying to grow, seeking the sun, driving you with their survival this year and every year next.
oo there's remote interaction counts and comments now  (on some posts, idk what determines it yet - maybe just on boosts or it depends when the post is viewed)

updating mastodon time  (it will explode)

i was talking with a friend about theoretical species-changing hrt and he said

trans animals with little homemade nature gender reaffirming treatments

and now I can't get that precious and adorable image out of my head; I mean just imagine a little fox running with a bundle of testosterone-increasing herbs and bark in its mouth, taking them to its transmasc coyote bf who's having a particularly hard dysphoria day and is hiding in their den

@smorty well, in such a world where hrt could turn me into a fox I'd imagine we'd had figured out secondary sex traits too  though I didn't mean this as a gender thing as much as a species thing (though being fox is very gender yes)
@0x6e6174 mine was $250/mo with insurance (thanks united healthcare); I'm really lucky to be able to afford it without too much trouble. The only reason i really do it this way is because I have regular appointments with a doctor and would prefer to keep having those appointments if possible—it's maybe silly but while diy is an option i am more comfortable working with a doctor while I can i guess
@0x6e6174 it is if i need it, and i have a backup supply of estrogel in this case too - it's just annoying and frustrating that I have to cut into that backup at all for a reason as silly as my medication mysteriously just not being delivered in the shipment it was supposed to be in
