End-of-summer roundup. šŸ„
Oh, nothing… just mood lighting from a nearby wildfire in January.

Had a great day at the Douglas World Cruiser centennial celebration at the Santa Monica Airport. There were lots of aviation organizations like the Ninety-Nines, there was a DC-3 fly-by, the local flight schools, and lots of interesting electric plane startups.

Lots of fun right up to the moment some dork found a way to suck all the cool out of the event.

Beautiful black-crowned night-heron has reappeared at my local park.
Last game of the PAC12 (nee PAC10) era at Pauley Pavilion. Very touching halftime tribute to 100 former players and coaches, going back to the 1950 team.
Here’s another shot from Badwater, and one of autumn in the Owens Valley from our drive home.
Spent the week with my mom on a road trip to (and around) Death Valley. Had an amazing, cloudy evening at Badwater which had an enormous amount of water (and rain!), saw pupfish at Ash Meadows, the opera house at Death Valley Junction, and even some fighter jet training flights in the Panamint Valley.
Who is in charge of colors over at Apple? You can’t call it ā€œspace blackā€ when the keycaps are black and the case is obviously a gray in contrast.
This feels like a legit SoCal collaboration.
