@puppygirlhornypost2 Great - we just finally recovered from the covid-19 chip shortages just to plunge into AI chip shortages

My hopes are that the used market comes back down a little bit at least? I just can't justify paying double what a item was a year or two ago

@Frisk Interesting, good to know ^^

I am more-so using this as an excuse to set it up and learn a few things along the way - and to put a use to a domain name that I can't use anymore for Mastodon (Lost the old DB, tried to run Sharkey after running Mastodon-Glitch and federation never worked right again)

I figure it would be a fun exercise - and bonus points if people actually use it

@Catwoman69y2k From my limited experience exploring and using it, I don't see why furries wouldn't like it - It is expandable, multiple clients, and with bridges can easily tap into already existing communities on Discord/Telegram - esp with Discord going to age verification

Hm I kinda want to explore hosting matrix/synapse more - should I spin up a public Synapse instance on furrypride.org? Maybe have it use S3 for media storage and keep the base install on a NVME vps? If I made it public with 3PID registration + Matrix 2.0 compatability would else be interested in signing up and using it?

@ETARD_The_LifeCaster I have been more interested in Matrix as an alternative compared to others but I will have to check it out

RIP to my own lil passion project - I wanted to grow it into something more but never got the opportunity - if anyone wants to use the furrypride.org domain and you have a good use for it that won't be broken by me breaking mastodon instances
