Moving to experiments, we could confirm that indeed four of these compounds conferred a growth advantage of MYb11 over MYb71 in batch culture. (6/8)
Using two different community-modelling approaches and cross-linking with Biolog data we identified seven compounds that specifically boosted MYb11. (5/8)

We are using constraint-based metabolic modelling to elucidate the networks of interaction between host as well as microbiota and how pathological changes in these interactions contribute to disease.
