The North Rhine-Westphalian city of Monheim am Rhein is temporarily discontinuing its autonomously driving e-buses starting today.

The A01 started in 2020 as one of Germany's first autonomous bus lines. According to the city, the reason for the shutdown is that the French manufacturer Easymile is discontinuing technical support for the electric buses' software at the end of the month.
