thinking in gifting my dad some model planes for xmas and building them with him. He is 69 years old.
I have read that model building is good for retirees, would this be a good idea and this a good starting point?

Angels of Death: grenadier and sniper
Last, group pic with the rest of the, completed, kill team: captain and assault intercessor
Also, I forgot:
- painted all the cork surface with white glue heavily diluted in water before priming
- bought a display case in the pjysical shop of https://www.zinnfigur.com/ that is just one block away
Some progress and learnings:
Glued the columns
Marked the spot where the minis will be glued, scratched the cork to help the superglue.
Smoothed the cork with milliput (first time).
Vallejo sand texture in the edges.
Basecoated the ground with diluted Vallejo earth with airbrush to prevent grey spots in case the basing materials fall.
Painted the columns with airbrush using army painter ancient stone (first time).
Minis primed and ready for paint.
