Great design system conference by Zeroheight and Michelle Chin yesterday in SF 🌁

Right lads it's about time we did another design systems open space.

The next one happening this Thursday 16 at 5pm, UK time, and this month we'll be looking at whether design systems documentation sites are still needed - and why.

Design systems opens space #8: Do we still need design system docs sites?

An open space to come and talk about design systems with others who work on them.

iOS 16.4 has new toasts!

Not particularly refined but they don’t block the screen or interactions.

Good example: Trello has a "Colorblind friendly" toggle that adds patterns to labels so they are always distinguishable.
In terms of big wishes, what do you wish that #figma could do?

Question for #figma users..

Over the years, we’ve gotten into the rhythm of doing bigger feature launches at our annual Config conference.

Is this…
a) good because it’s exciting
b) good because having feature releases lumped together is less disruptive to day to day work
c) bad because it’s more fun to have features coming out here and there every month

Wdyt?

I use Font Awesome a lot but the icon search on their website is a pain. So... I made my own. This still needs a lot of polish but the basics are there. Search, click to copy icon name, keyboard navigation, speed. Give it a try let me know what you think.

@ivory two little options that would be nice:
- Possibility to hide the chevrons in the tab bar. Once I set the tabs I need I don’t need to see them and it would reduce clutter.
- Posibility to have regular icons. In the same spirit that you allow to change fonts. I find the icons with missing parts harder to scan.

Thanks!
