Dicken dad, Domino's dev. Odds are I'd rather be biking to bar trivia.

@arborwiki_changes 😢

(I’m pro-Echelon, but bd’s was an important place for me at one time. I just came across this changelog 4 hours after mentioning bd’s on S Main to my daughter!)

Ruh roh, Dharma Akmon emails that she’s not running for reelection, so the only candidate I know of for Ward 4 is the one Elizabeth Nelson has been advertising for. Anybody looking for a sign or some encouragement to get in the race? #a2council
@TheChillennial I see that little car in LoBuPa all the time! Almost yelled when I saw a young guy driving it downtown a week or two ago.

@csalzman this inspired me to check my mileage, and I guess I just crossed 1000 as well!

As a side note, I think I’ve complained in this space about the Fastrack’s top speed, but I have to say I feel significantly better about it when I remember to inflate the tires. Helps (more than I’d prefer) when the battery is topped off, too.

@samfirke I figured if I scrolled far enough back, someone would have posted about this.
I checked out the new lane on Sunday, and, are those cars meant to be parked next to it? I’ve never felt more like I was going to get doored.
Your diction here suggests that they were in my lane and I was in the buffer, which would be reassuring if I thought anyone would ever enforce it or treat it that way.
@csalzman there’s some guy who streams a marathon of playthroughs once a year, and two guys on my team used to donate annually to make him play Yo! Noid. If there’s any kind of remaster or sequel in the works, though, it’s being kept quite close to the vest.

@csalzman obviously it might just be a gimmick, but it seems like this makes their service more useful for a bunch of people, and adding the ASCII thing was probably easier than what they had built for sheet music to begin with?

The author grapples with this a little, but: are you being forced to add a feature you didn’t want, or nudged to add a feature that you didn’t realize users would want?

@csalzman this is really interesting! I’m pretty skeptical of “AI” anything, but there’s something here about the way LLMs work that could be a helpful “how does it make sense to build this?” because your own dog food doesn’t cover everybody’s use cases.
Obviously it fails as a solution-provider when it makes up methods in well-known Java classes, but it seems like it was a good problem-provider in this case!
@csalzman Noticed something today when somebody linked to an old Mlive article from an extremely long Nextdoor thread.
Not that I blame anyone for recycling, just gave me a chuckle.
@Erich if there’s still any call for this, I just saw a full 4x8 beer pong table at the curb around 1018 Church
