50% affordable housing is a good floor. Social housing with a range of incomes, ~50% below 80% AMI and ~50% above, with the latter helping pay for the former and future social housing investments, would be even better. Do a BART/SF govt collab as the city's first social housing pilot!
Did you know that CCSF is planning a 650 car parking structure? There's a CEQA scoping meeting on July 9 at 5:00 p.m. in the STEAM Building, 75 Frida Kahlo, rm 101.

My friend and neighbor Sara Barz has been nominated to SFMTA Board. She has done more to improve my neighborhood than anyone in the last twenty years and will be phenomenal but she needs your help to be approved by the Board of Supervisors. Use this handy Action Network letter writing tool to let the BOS know that Sara will be a geat asset to the SFMTA Board of Directors.

Confirm Sara Barz to the SFMTA board

Community leader and transportation professional Sara Barz was nominated to serve on the San Francisco Municipal Transportation Agency's board of directors by Mayor London Breed in November 2024. Show your support by writing a letter to the San Francisco Board of Supervisors today! Barz's professional experience in transportation and urban planning across the public and private sectors will bring a fresh, innovative perspective to SFMTA as the agency faces the coming fiscal challenges. Barz has also spent years developing deep community relationships and transportation policy solutions for pedestrian and bicycle safety and transit access as a member of the San Francisco County Transportation Authority's Citizens' Advisory Committee, leader of Slow Hearst in Sunnyside, and member of the Ocean Avenue Mobility Taskforce. As a west side resident and parent, Barz understands firsthand the challenges facing San Francisco’s transit riders, pedestrians, cyclists, and drivers. Her combination of professional expertise and lived experience makes her uniquely qualified to represent and address the diverse needs of San Francisco’s communities. As we plan for a city that is both more affordable and greener, we must think about how we invest in transportation. We are confident that Barz will bring an equitable, solution-oriented attitude to all of existing and future challenges, while continuing to uphold the City’s Vision Zero, Transit First, and climate policies. Send a letter today to members of the Board to show your support for Sara!

Prop L was weakest in the areas that voted against K because Ocean Beach Park might cause traffic congestion. A more decisive vote in the Sunset and Richmond might have beaten M's poison pill but those residents seem to be fine with the Muni service they complain about.

Now that prop K seems to have passed (hurry up 4 o'clock!) Its important to start thinking about how to quickly improve transit, bikeability, and walkability in the western Sunset. Removing inducements to drive without considering this will backfire in our faces,

As a German, I’d recommend against voting for a dictator if there’s still another option.
It's still colorless. 🤢
