Mixed Bag today. Nearing the endgame of “Persona 4 Golden”, and enjoying all the social time before the last push. At the same time, my cat Paisley hasn’t been feeling great, but she seems to be on the mend now. On top of that, I have a ton of work to do to close out the weekend and get ready for, you know, the actual work week.

Being an adult is bullshit, and I feel like I was sold a bill of goods.

Meaghan and I went to a sing-along screening of “K-Pop Demon Hunters” at the Alamo Drafthouse. The crowd was decent, fewer people singing than I expected.

But the movie, oh my word, the movie. If you want to tell a story about the power of music, having a banger soundtrack certainly helps.

You know how Volkswagen doesn’t like to talk about its history from 1939 to 1945?

I have a feeling that Tesla, if it survives, will feel the same way about right now.

There is a “Shin Megami Tensei” board game that just hit Kickstarter.

The price of a pledge that gets you the game is over $300 USD, even nudging closer to $400 if you miss the Early Bird pledges.

Now, I like board games a lot. An embarrassing percentage of my collection is games based on IP I appreciate. But spending $400 on a board game sight-unseen because of the brand name and models is beyond the pale.

I do not know how I’m going to face today.
Or any other day after it.

The anger has subsided (mostly).
The fear has taken its place.

But mostly, all I am right now is numb. Numb and afraid for the future.
