The endless week keeps giving. After Paris (with a surprise escapade to catch David Byrne's show included), yesterday was an intense day in Brugge, featuring a selection of modular synths and performers, old and new, and a beautiful encounter with Suzanne Ciani. More on that soon. For now, enjoying the sun and the feverish start of Spring.
An intense start of the week. On Monday, Early Electronics listening session hosted at the Orpheus Institute . On Tuesday, sound projection for a rendition of Stockhausen's "Kontakte". Now, an early start to join the 2026 IRCAM forum. And it is only Wednesday!
I am becoming my instrument...after all these years....
RIP Eliane Radigue. Many thanks for all your music (photo credit INA/GRM)
Some great finds at Dixigas Records in Karlsruhe. Great shop!
(2of2)And in the evening, the stars aligned for me to catch one of the musical children of Missy Mazzoli: heropera "Breaking the Waves" at the Staatstheater Karlsruhe. Music, in all its forms, is Love. And love is hope. More of this, please.
(1of2)When the world seems to be falling apart, some days restore a bit of faith. Today, I spent a day tapping on memories of music and friendship. First, I conducted two workshops for students at the Hochschule für Musik Karlsruhe, where I discussed, among other things, my time at the Institute of Sonology, and the work of Jaap Vink. We also had the opportunity to create some beautiful noise at the end. (cont)
Arrived in Karlsruhe. Heavy preparations for tomorrow's workshop at the @hfm_karlsruhe . Looking forward to fighting the evil bug and being 100%!
