@coreice He already posted some photos and videos on Instagram. Looks like the interior of the carriages is unchanged!? https://www.instagram.com/stories/simply_railway/

@coreice Not sure about the Fediverse, but you can find some on Bluesky. Thibault (Simply Railway) is on the returning service from Berlin to Amsterdam, so I bet there'll be a video on YouTube shortly.
@jon @leckse What about Switzerland? Still, today we often have the opposite: Platforms which plan trips and then sell you multiple tickets stating they constitute "individual travel contracts"
@jon I'm not even sure it would be nicer to have one ticket. Quite often, split tickets are cheaper than a single one. Considering the many different ticket options, I can't imagine a single platform that would cover them all. And making passenger rights depend on the platform through which I purchased the tickets doesn't sound right anyways. Universal passenger rights for split tickets (with clear rules on when they apply and when not) would be much stronger from the passenger's perspective.
@benjamingeer @jon The perfect solution would be two neighboring compartments with communicating doors. Let's see what they bring up 🙂
@tomtom @Sobex @annehargreaves @patrislav @jon Communicating doors would be perfect! As Thibault has indicated in the YT comments that they think of the "Double Vista" compartments as made for families, I hope they have that in mind. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4Aq4zXKdP4U

@benjamingeer @jon To be honest I don't mind booking two compartments if they are affordable. I mean, we are not going to spend our entire holidays in these trains (at least not before the kids are old enough to stay in their own compartment) ... the only issue is that we have 3 kids so that never fits... having a 3-berth compartment (3rd berth for kids only) could actually be nice, but maybe doesn't fit the scalable approach Nox is taking
@tomtom @Sobex @annehargreaves @patrislav @jon If they take the same approach as hotels, with an easy way to book two neighboring compartments (and in the best case a small discount) that will be fine for most families I guess. It definitely would be fine for us.
@jon @Sobex @patrislav There's certainly a way to simulate that, like platforms that match people who want to share a compartment ;-)
It's like hotel vs. hostel: Only few people would choose the hostel to save a few €s or meet new people if hotel rooms are affordable...
